Mount Royal Town Council adopted, at its regular sitting of December 17, 2024, Draft By-law No. 1440-2 amending By-law No. 1440 titled "Planning Program of the Town of Mount Royal - 2017" regarding the change of land use for the property located at 1000 Lucerne Road – lot 1 679 307 of the Quebec Cadastre.
In summary, the purpose of the Draft By-law is to modify the map of major land use and density in order to change the use of the immovable located at 1000 Lucerne Road from “institutional” to “high-density residential”.
In accordance with the Act respecting Land Use Planning and Development (CQLR, Chapter A-19.1) the Mayor will explain the object of Draft By-law No. 1440-2 and the consequences of its adoption or coming into force, and will hear every person or body wishing to express an opinion on the subject at a PUBLIC MEETING on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 18:00 at 90 Roosevelt Avenue, Mount Royal.
