Pickleball - Mohawk Park

The season will begin on Saturday, May 3, 2025. A monitor will be present to set up the equipment and ensure a safe playing environment according to the following schedule :

Every day from 7:00 to 22:00. This schedule will be in effect until October 13, 2025. 

A pickleball membership is required to access the Mohawk Park courts. You can purchase the membership in person at the Recreation Centre, or online: https://mon.accescite.net/66072/en-ca/Home.

These outdoor pickleball courts are located at Mohawk Park (1050 Dumfries Road).

Indoor Pickleball

Location

The indoor pickleball court is located at the Pierre-Laporte school sports complex.

Registration

  • Registration is open to residents aged 15 and over.
  • Registration fees: 
    • $70 - Fall
    • $120 - Winter
    • $160 - Annual
  • All participants must be pre-registered
  • 3 registration sessions are now available:
    • Fall: Beginning September 21
    • Winter: Beginning January 18
    • Annual: Beginning September 21

Schedule and terms

  • Open Saturday and Sunday: 09:00 - 12:00
  • Participants supply their own racquet
  • Cancelled dates and the final day per session will be communicated to the registered participants

Residents acquiring a membership for the Town’s pickleball program can use the facilities and participate in all activities at Mohawk Park. All reservations must be made online or with the tennis monitor.

  • Members of the Town’s pickleball program can reserve a court online, in person or by telephone.
  • Members may reserve a court as of 2 days before the desired playing time.
  • Members reserving in person will receive priority over members reserving simultaneously by telephone.
  • Members may reserve a court during opening hours, from 7:00 to 22:00.
  • Members may reserve one court at a time for a maximum duration of one hour.
  • Members playing doubles may reserve one court at a time for a maximum duration of two hours.
  • Before entering the court, all players must check in with the monitor on duty with a proof of membership (or guest card if being invited by a member). This will be strictly enforced : the court will not be allotted until all players have checked in with the monitor.
  • Cancellations must be made at least one hour before reservation time.

Note: Failure to show up without cancelling will result in first offence – a warning; third offence – loss of online and telephone privileges and may only reserve in person one hour or less before playing.

Dress

Proper pickleball attire is mandatory. Shirts must be worn at all times. No cut-off T-Shirts or cut-off jean shorts are permitted.

Shoes

Tennis shoes only. Due to the court surface, shoes must be of the proper tread design for tennis (i.e. soft soled). Black-soled shoes, cross training or intended for jogging or other sports are not acceptable. If in doubt, check with the monitor.
