Terry Fox Run - 44th Edition - Sunday, September 15, 2024
The 44th edition of the Terry Fox run will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Danyluk park (60 Roosevelt Avenue).
The Terry Fox Run, now an annual event at TMR every fall, brings together nearly 600 communities to raise funds for cancer research. These studies aim to improve diagnosis and treatment, not to mention the quality of life of cancer sufferers.
Thanks to the donations collected last year, $29.3 M were invested in 61 Marathon of Hope Cancer Centers and 36 Research Grants Programs in Canada, including 9 projects totalling $1.3 M in 18 health institutions across Quebec.
Participants can register online (below) or on site at 10:00 on the day of the event. The race starts at 11:00 on the track behind the Recreation Center (60 Roosevelt Avenue).
Activities for children such as balloon sculpting, clowns and face painting will be offered on site. A friendly BBQ and a draw (some 20 prizes, including tickets to a Montreal Canadiens’ game and an iPad) will close the event. Raffle tickets will be on sale on site for $20 each as well as Terry Fox T-shirts.
