Additional Sessions of Free Skating and Pick-Up Hockey During the School Break

Great news! The Town of Mount Royal will offer additional sessions of free skating and some pick-up hockey during the school break starting on March 3, 2025! Please read the following information carefully.

  1. All skaters (including figure skaters and MRO hockey players) must show their valid Recreation card stamped for 2025 to have access to the rink, or pay according to the indicated rates (a hockey or skating club affiliation does not give free access to the ice during this municipally organized activity).
  2. The 2025 recreation membership can be purchased online (www.town.mount-royal.qc.ca) if your Activitek account is up-to-date, or at the Recreation Centre.
  3. Helmets are compulsory for all, regardless of age or ability.
  4. A CSA approved helmet with full face mask and neck guard are compulsory for the hockey periods.
  5. There is no free skating during the hockey periods.
  6. There is no hockey during the free skating periods.
  7. Only people with skates are allowed on the ice.
