News Request for Qualifications for Potential CSC Tenderers

Request for Qualifications for Potential CSC Tenderers

The Town of Mount Royal has reached a crucial milestone in the Sports and Community Centre (CSC) project. Following the approval of the project budget at the May Town Council meeting, the Town recently launched a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for potential bidders.

Interested companies must go through this qualification process in order to be considered in the future call for tenders for the construction of the CSC. The purpose of this qualification stage is to select the best teams capable of developing and presenting design concepts that meet our requirements and respect our budget.

Once the teams have been qualified, the Town will issue a call for tenders for the construction of the CSC, which will be of the "design-build" type. The selected teams will have a few months to develop a concept that meets our performance requirements, while staying within the maximum budget allocated to the project. Proposals will be evaluated on merit, according to a weighting defined by Council. Submission of qualification files is currently scheduled for July 17.

This major milestone marks the start of the process for awarding the CSC construction contract, which is scheduled for the end of 2024.
