The work for the expansion of the 24L holding bay and the rehabilitation of the Romeo taxiway that are located at the eastern section of the South Runway will be completed on November 15 as planned. This work is necessary to maintain airport facilities to reliability and safety standards.
The South Runway will be closed from November 4 until midday on November 15 in order to carry out the final work and demobilize the site. During this period, flights will use the North Runway.
The South Runway will be put back into operation at its full length at midday on November 15 and runway use will return to the usual way. NAV Canada’s aircraft will conduct flight tests before the South Runway is put back into operation.
