12 Days of Action Against Violence Towards Women: Let's Stand Together

The Town of Mount Royal wishes to share an important initiative highlighted by the CIUSSS COMTL in the fight against violence towards women.

From November 25 to December 6, various organizations will be launching initiatives as part of the 12 Days of Action Against Violence Towards Women. This period begins with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, declared by the UN, and ends on December 6, a significant date for Quebec.

December 6 marks the commemoration of the Montreal Polytechnique tragedy, where 14 women were murdered simply because they were women. This tragic event serves as a powerful reminder to continue the fight against gender-based violence and to build a society where all women can live with dignity and without fear.

We encourage you to participate actively and stay informed to support this essential cause. For more information, visit https://csf.gouv.qc.ca/article/publicationsnum/12-jours-action-contre-violences-faites-aux-femmes-2024/
