Free Skating and Pick-up Hockey at the Arena During School Break Week!

Monitors will be present at all times to ensure the rules are being respected. During regular skating periods, an area will be cordoned off for young skaters or beginners. Nominal fees, as with the regular season, are applicable.

NOTE: Everyone, including adults, using the ice during the skating MUST wear a helmet. During the hockey hours a face-mask and neck protector are also compulsory.

Rules

• All skaters (including figure skaters and MRO hockey players) must show their valid Recreation card stamped for 2024 to have access to the rink, or pay according to the indicated rates (a hockey or skating club affiliation does not give free access to the ice during this municipally organized activity).
•  The 2024 recreation membership can be purchased on-line (www.town.mount-royal.qc.ca) if your Activitek account is up-to-date, or at the recreation center. 
•  Helmets are compulsory for all, regardless of age or ability.         
• A CSA approved helmet with full face mask and neck guard are compulsory for the hockey periods.
•  There is no free skating during the hockey periods.
• There is no hockey during the free skating periods.
•  Only people with skates are allowed on the ice.
