Highway 40 (Metropolitan) Westbound: an Area to Avoid from September 13 to 16, 2024

The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable wishes to advise road users that paving work will require the complete closure of Autoroute 40 (Métropolitaine), westbound, between the Laurentides interchange and Cavendish Boulevard, during the weekend of September 13, 2024. The Ministry anticipates considerable congestion. The area should be avoided.

Obstruction and traffic management

• Friday 23:59 to Monday 5:00.

Complete closure of Autoroute 40 (Métropolitaine) westbound, between Exit 70 - A-15 NORD / R-117 / Laval / Ch. Rockland / Boul. M.-Laurin and the Cavendish entrance. Traffic will be diverted onto the service road (chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse). 

Default closures until Monday 5:00 : 

• A-15 (des Laurentides) SOUTH ramp to A-40 WEST, as of Friday 23:30; 
• Stinson entrance to A-40 WEST, as of Friday 23:00; 
• A-40 WEST ramp to A-15 (Décarie) SOUTH, as of Friday 23:59;
• A-15 (Décarie) NORTH ramp to A-40 WEST, as of Friday 23:30;
• A-40 WEST ramp to A-520 WEST (and airport), as of Friday 23:59;
• Exit no. 64 - Boul. Cavendish from A-40 WEST, as of Friday 23:59. 

PLEASE NOTE : 

• In the event of unfavorable weather conditions or operational constraints, this closure may be postponed, particularly if the weather is rainy.
• The following optional routes are suggested: autoroutes 440 and 13, autoroute 20 or autoroute 30.
