Tabling of the Consultation Report on the Quartier Sportif et Communautaire
The Town of Mount Royal has mandated the firm Morin Relations Publiques to carry out an information and consultation campaign with the Townies to better understand their needs in terms of sports and community infrastructures on the territory of the Town and to better understand their expectations of their elected officials with regard to the construction of a new recreational and community center.
In a nutshell, the sample totals 1,090 people who participated in one or more of the consultation actions between February 1 and March 5, 2023:
- Two information evenings on February 1 and 2, 2023 (approximately 500 people attended in person or virtually and 54 questions were asked).
- Produced an informational video to describe the project, but also to invite citizens to provide feedback to Town Council Members.
- Creation of a dedicated web page to provide all information to citizens.
- Created a dedicated email box to collect citizen comments (42 emails received).
- An online survey, in French and English, was conducted between February 3 and March 5 inclusively (349 French respondents and 199 English respondents).
- Production of an information flyer distributed by mail to all citizens of the territory in order to give an outline of the project, invite people to consult the website for all the information and a link to the survey in order to obtain their comments.
- Several digital communications (social media and newsletter) were made to publicize the project, as well as all the means available to citizens to send their comments to the Council Members.
