NEW: This year, producers and processors will gather on in Connaught Park, on the pedestrian sidewalk and the pergola, every Thursday from 14:00 to 18:00, June 20th to September 26th, 2024.
This high quality public market offers a wide range of products from local farms. It's a great way to get your hands on fresh produce while having a great time in the heart of our Garden City.
Every week during the beautiful season, we will be fortunate to find the most environmentally friendly artisans of the land, the most passionate farmers and the most meticulous processors. Enjoy!
Sylvia, in charge of the Town of Mount Royal public market, has invited our very youngest children to come and set up a stand to sell products they've made. They range in age from 8 to 15, and here's a taste of what these young entrepreneurs have cooked or made for you:
Bubble tea, bunuelos (stuffed dumplings), pandebonos (Colombian cornstarch bread), rose products, cake pops, fruit brochettes, pommes d'amour, popsicles, chocolate-covered blueberries, iced coffees, fancy lemonades, among other homemade delights.
To encourage them is to support the real commitment of these children, who have the courage to learn, through hands-on experience, concepts that will serve them well for the rest of their lives: responsibility, determination, numeracy, communication skills, integration into their community and...cooking skills! If you believe in the future of our little entrepreneurs, come and see them at the market every Thursday during the season. They look forward to seeing you!
Food trucks have been a great success in Mount Royal in the past and are back this summer. In 2024, a truck will be on site most Thursdays from June 20, from 16:00 to 20:00. It will be parked in the same location as in previous years, along the Laird side of Connaught Park.
Here's the list of street trucks that will be present on each date:
June 20: Café du passeur
June 27: Hotdog du monde
July 11: Dilallo
July 18: Vroom
July 25: Alto
August 1: Buns Buns
August 15: Hambourgeois nomade
August 22: Buns Buns
August 29: Gras dur tacos
September 5: Café du passeur
This weekly event is an opportunity to get together with family and friends and enjoy a variety of dishes that will please all food lovers and epicureans.
The Town is upholding its eco-friendly requirements for food trucks: all supplies, including plates and utensils, must be compostable. The same goes for its general non-competition requirements with respect to permanent restaurants in the Town Centre area, whose menus cannot, in essence, be duplicated.
